Can you name a woman, who had an impact on you as a leader?

Lula Mae Reeves and Madam CJ Walker. Reeves became one of the first African American women to own a business in Philadelphia. While Madam CJ Walker was a self-made millionaire, who owned a hair care business. As an African American entrepreneur, who owns a cupcake business, these women are a reflection of who I would like to become in the future. Representation matters.

What is your vision of a leader?

A leader is someone who works hard along with their companions. They need to be compassionate and enjoy working with their teammates.

What are your current goals in life?

In terms of business, I want to propel my business AnjelCakes®️. I want to sell cupcakes outside of Calvert County and beyond. Personally, I want to continue to do well in school, so that I can get into a good college/university. I am leaning toward Hampton University.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by depending on God and my family. They are my number one supporters.

What is your measure of success?

Success is when you put your full effort and hard work into whatever you are working on.

What is some advice that you would give to a young girl?

Just be yourself. You don’t have to worry about what people say about you. You are YOU and you can enjoy what you like.
